Sláinte Irish Coffee
This project was a combined branding and packaging project to create a hypothetical product for a successful beverage company that taps into a previously unmet market. This product is similar to the successful pre-made frappuccinos that Starbucks has already been selling in recent years. This eliminates the need for a barista in the same way these drinks eliminate the need for a mixologist. This readily “grab-and-go” option can only help to increase Starbucks’ brand recognition and tap into the different but highly lucrative market of alcoholic beverages.

Pot o’ gold.
My goal in designing the label was to capture the rich tradition and ornamentation of the Irish culture by utilizing both a gold foil label as well as Celtic intricacies of design. I also gave a nod to classic whiskey labels with my choice of type for Sláinte.
Hand-crafted elegance.
I chose to create a handmade, laser cut wooden whiskey box to elevate the quality and excellence of the brand. For the lid design, I chose to create a piece that looked like bulk coffee with its inclusion of burlap and coffee beans. With the actual shape of the actual glass, I chose to shape it the same way as the whiskey glass to unify the overall package as a whole.
Coffeehouse meets Irish Pub.
The goal of this pop-up is to showcase the class and quality of Starbucks’ new Sláinte product. The pop-up isn’t just a walk “in and out” physical space, but rather an experience for the user. It enables them to try a taste of Sláinte and get a sense of the kind of lifestyle and experience that Sláinte can provide for the user; relaxed, enjoyable, and high class. It will be in an empty storefront rather than a kiosk in the middle of the mall, to give it a more concrete, stable and luxurious feel.
