Lady Luck

This project was a total re-branding task for a local brewery in San Luis Obispo, Tap-It Brewery. The goal of the project was to elevate the status of the brewery whilst retaining its attributes of locally-grown excellence and the celebratory lifestyle. From labels and package design to letterheads and postcards, this was an all-inclusive branding project. It also included background research and the creation of a standards manual.

Unifying
the brand.

When I did an audit of Tap-It Brewery, I found that they had four logos in all. I chose to create a standards manual in order to unify Lady Luck’s aesthetic across all products, collateral, and UX/UI design. The aim was to capitalize on the warm colors of classic ales, IPAs, and porters.

Identity system.

I created everything in the identity system including letterheads, business cards, personalized envelopes, and mail-out postcards promoting the rebranding of the brewery. My goal was to utilize the same typefaces and graphic elements across all the collateral to unite them.

UX/UI design.

For the web design of this branding project, I chose lean into white space and high quality imagery to complete the overall feel of the new brand, a celebration of classic brews and life on the beautiful Central Coast.

Seasonal brews.

Aside from the standard IPAs that Lady Luck Brewing Company produces, I also introduced a line of seasonal drinks marketed to summer and fall, as well as a drink in honor of SLO’s biggest population, the Cal Poly Mustangs.
